The Company

The City of London has long been an international centre for Arbitration. The Worshipful Company of Arbitrators is established to represent those involved in arbitration, and membership is open to professional arbitrators and others engaged in related forms of dispute resolution.

The Company's Coat of ArmsThe Company of Arbitrators is determined to be at the leading edge of Arbitration in the City of London and a leading voice in domestic and international arbitration.

The Company is involved in the development of the profession through its charitable activities which are an important part of the Livery, raising many millions of pounds every year for a multitude of charities.

One of the objects of the Company's Charitable Trusts is to provide support in education in the fields of arbitration and other related forms of dispute resolution, and grants and bursaries are given to educational establishments and for research every year. There is an Annual Lecture held in London and the Apprentice Scheme provides assistance to young and aspiring arbitrators.
